ASSITANT COACH - SPRINTS AND HURDLES
Kenny McDaniel, following a year that produced five All-America honors and three Pac-10 titles among his student-athletes, enters his second year as the Arizona State University track and field assistant coach and first year at the World Athletics Center in charge of the women's sprints, hurdles and relays. Bringing a highly energetic and passionate approach to the group, McDaniel's sprinters have played a vital role in the Sun Devils' success. In his first season, McDaniel molded several sprinters into rising stars as his athletes showed great improvements in their times throughout the season. Working with the likes of 2008 U.S. Olympian Jacquelyn Johnson, U.S. Olympic Trials semifinalist Charonda Williams and true freshman Dominique' Maloy, McDaniel helped the Sun Devil women lower their times while climbing high on both the national order lists and the ASU all-time record lists.
